Don’t Live your Life For Others

Man I wish I would’ve just did what I originally thought of doing instead of listening to others. My parents wanted me to be an accountant, lawyer or doctor. My parents belittled my dreams asking how would it pay the bills in life and do what I want to do. Here I am in a field that pays great but it isn’t my dream, it puts a cap on my salary, and my lifestyle! I only have one stream of income. My 4th year at this job and I’m just now knocking on early 6 figures. Stressed, and I know it’s too late to go back and chase my dreams now. I’m already established in the world, well the corporate world. However Covid opened up my eyes with the world shutting down instantly, jobs rugged away so fast like a rope from people having them panic thinking about how they are going to put food on the table for their babies and keep a shelter over their head. I have to think fast because I can become one of them. My wife just had our third child a month ago and she doesn’t work because I told her she doesn’t have to. If I just would have followed my passion and not what everyone else wanted me to be I WOULD ACTUALLY BE HAPPY, NOT BE IN THIS POSITION BECAUSE I CREATE MY OWN MONEY VALVES AS A BUSINESSMAN! Where are my parents who talked me into this!? Time is ticking today is where I found out if they are letting me go or not due to reconstruction of staff, damn my e mail just went off I’m scared to check it!
